The Twilight Rap Video

Last month, I talked about a guy who wrote some funny stuff about the twilight series. (If you missed it, click HERE.)
...
Well, he's done it again! And this time it's in the form of a rap music video. If you've read Breaking Dawn, you should definitely watch the video. It's hilarious.
(If you haven't finished it yet, beware - it has LOTS of spoilers.)

one down, way too many to go...

Yesterday was the first day of my fourth and final semester of nursing school. While I'm excited that it's almost over, I. am. so. done. Senioritis has definitely kicked in. And I've only been in school one day. That's pretty sad. I'm in for a looooong four months, aren't I?
...
But there is a light at the end of that (very long) tunnel...
This: Mikelle S. Newman, RN.
Oh, and this: BABIES!!!

Family Pictures

Last week, we had the wonderful opportunity to have our pictures taken by a GREAT photographer, Lisa Webb (a friend from our ward). We went to the Montage beach (in Laguna Beach), and the pictures turned out awesome! At first, I was hesitant to have our pictures taken since I thought they'd come out looking like engagements. But I'm so glad we decided to do it because I LOVE them and I'm so happy to have them. Here are just a few of our favorites:
(okay... maybe more than a few!)

I was pleasantly surprised with Jeremy's spontaneity during our photo shoot. I thought the heart and J+M in the sand was very sweet...

One of my requests was a silhouette shot with a sunset in the background and Lisa didn't disappoint! I love it!
...
And she even came over to photograph Mr. Wilson since he couldn't come to the beach with us. How awesome is that?! Here are a few of those favorites...

As you can see, Lisa is an amazing photographer. If you ever need any pictures taken, I highly recommend her. To see more of her great pictures, you can go to her photo blog by clicking HERE.

We are so lucky to have such talented friends! Thanks again, Lisa! You're awesome!

Did you hear?

There is a new release date for twilight the movie! It's coming out three weeks earlier, on November 21st! That's right before Thanksgiving - which gives us one more thing to be thankful for! Yay!
...
After all that really frustrating cheating from the chinese on the vault, it was nice to see USA get the gold on the beam. I'm so glad cute little Shawn Johnson (which totally sounds like a basketball player's name) finally got her gold medal! Shawn and Nastia (that was so mean of her parents to name her that) are just too cute for words. I'm so glad they both got gold!

Jeremy's 31st Birthday!

Jeremy isn't too fond of birthdays, to say the least. He doesn't like to be the center of attention and doesn't like to make his birthday a big deal. I'm always trying to get him excited about it but he could care less. Hence, I dubbed him the 'birthday scrooge.' I grew up with the sentiment that birthdays are supposed to be a big, exciting, and special day. And it's quite the feat to make someone's day exciting and special when they aren't enthusiastic about it. However, I think it's safe to say Jeremy had a pretty good birthday...
..
This morning he got a special birthday breakfast, complete with a happy birthday song! He even got to blow out candles! Isn't he lucky?
It sure looks like he's having a good time, doesn't it?
("Are we done yet?" Nope. Not even close.)
...
Unfortunately, he had to work today, so we planned on going out to lunch. Much to his dismay surprise, I showed up with balloons and (his favorite) red velvet cupcakes to share with his coworkers.
He wasn't too thrilled about the balloons but didn't object to the cupcakes. :)

For his birthday lunch, he got to choose anywhere he wanted to go. Much to my dismay surprise, he chose Sushi.

Pretty to look at.
Not so pretty to eat. But we sure had fun! After lunch, it was back to work for Jeremy.

After he got home from work, he opened the birthday package from mama Kay (my mom). As always, she went above and beyond and got Jeremy some great stuff. A golf shirt, a tie, two bags of Jeremy's favorite candy (Reese's), and lots more. (Thanks Mom!) (Unfortunately, I couldn't get him any presents because he had already bought them for himself last month.)

After opening presents, Jeremy chose to do one of his favorite things - look at houses! Then, for his big birthday dinner he chose none other than Domino's pizza. After dinner it was time for cake! I sang Happy Birthday and he blew out the candles, for the second time today! Now we're finishing the night off with some Olympic games.

I hope you had a great day honey! I love you!

Dear Hubby,

This time tomorrow we'll be celebrating your
31st birthday!
But don't feel bad about getting another year older because even though your 8 1/2 years my senior, you still seem really young to me. :)
...
To celebrate the last day of your first 30 years, here are 30 things (in no particular order) that I love about you...
...
1. You're the sweetest person I know.
2. You support me 100%.
(Unless I'm being unrealistic. See #22)
3. You're the perfect balance between generous and frugal.
4. You're incredibly honest.
(Even if I don't want to hear it. See #29)
5. You're quick to forgive, even when I'm not.
6. You love me unconditionally.
7. You're excruciatingly handsome.
8. You're a worthy Priesthood holder.
9. You're trustworthy.

17. You're loving and affectionate.
18. You're compassionate, always taking good care of me.
19. You're surprisingly strong!

(I love all our inside jokes and silly banter.)
22. You're an optimist, yet realistic.
23. You can be very romantic.
24. You're kindhearted and sympathetic.
25. You're very accommodating - even when I'm being unrealistic.
26. You truly care about others.
27. You're going to be a great father to our children.
28. You're considerate of my feelings.
29. You keep me in line.

Beijing 2008 Olympic Games

When all those big wigs on the Olympic committee got together and decided where to hold the 2008 Summer games, why in the world did they choose Beijing? Yes, the venues are spectacular, but have you seen that smog? Yuck. It just doesn't make sense to have athletes participating in outdoor sports breathing in that air. Right?
...
Also, I'm super frustrated with the Chinese women's gymnastics team. The girls are supposed to be 16 years old by the time the games start and there is NO way some of those girls are 16. No way. Did you see them? Do they look 16 to you? I understand that gymnasts are super tiny and look young, but they don't look that young. I think China is cheating. And I'm not the only one. Check out this article:
.
That just takes all the fun out of it. Don't you think?

SYTYCD Top 4 - The Finale!

Well, it's all over. And I'm super bummed. It went by way too fast.
...
But I'm so happy I got to celebrate the end of such a great season with friends. Thanks to everyone who came to the party, it was so much fun!
...
I'm so glad Joshua won. He definitely deserved it!

Even though he was a hip hop dancer with no professional training, he excelled at almost all of the dance styles.

And isn't Cat Deeley such a great host? She's quick, witty and really sweet with all the contestants. Plus, she's absolutely gorgeous. And she usually has great style. Most of her dresses are really cute, with a few exceptions. Like this one:That is one weird dress. Don't you think? Anyhoo, I think she's great. Oh, and I also think her and Twitch have a little somethin' goin' on, if you know what I mean. Did anyone else notice how touchy feely they were? Don't believe me? Here's the proof:

She was clearly flirting when she put Twitch's glasses on and his slimy, spit filled grill in her mouth. Gross. And they hugged at very odd times. Notice how the other three dancers are almost off the stage? She didn't hug any of them. Just Twitch. Then, after his solo performance in the Top 4, he put his arm around her and couldn't stop stroking her arm. See for yourself...

The evidence is clear. There is definitely something going on. Wouldn't you agree?

babies, babies everywhere!

Since I enjoy making onsies so much, I made some for my friend, Lisa's, baby girl. And I just have to tell you - the absolute best part of doing all that work, is seeing this:Isn't Quinn adorable? There's more here.
..
I also enjoy making hair clips. Quinn is wearing one I made in the pictures above. And here are some others: (picture shamelessly stolen from lisa's photo blog!)

...I just love seeing what I've made on babies, it's very rewarding.

breaking dawn

(Don't worry - no spoilers here. I won't talk about anything that happens, since I know some people haven't finished yet.)It finally came! And now it's over. :(
....
On Friday night I went to Barnes and Noble, waited in line and got my book at midnight. I was going to try and pull an all nighter, but around 3 am I couldn't keep my eyes open. I woke up at 7 am the next morning and started reading. I couldn't stop until I finished at 11 pm last night. I'm happy to be done, but now I'm sad it's over. I guess I'll just have to read them again...
...
I can't wait for everyone to be done reading it because I want to talk about it! For those of you who've finished, are you happy with the outcome? Vote!
