January 5th was my first day of work as a nurse!
The first couple weeks have been pretty boring - just orientation and class work. However, last Friday was our first day on the floor and I finally got to hold a baby! Unfortunately, they are training us on postpartum first, so it's kind of boring. But I'll be in Labor and Delivery (where all the action is) soon enough! The hospital where I'm working has a really awesome new grad training program. It's really long and intense, but that's a good thing. I want to be really prepared before they set me loose!
..
Tomorrow (Tuesday the 20th) I take the NCLEX and I'm beyond nervous. If I don't pass, I lose my job. No pressure, right?
...
Please pray for me...

You'll do fine. As I work with CNA's that are taking the NCLEX, everytime they think they do horrible, it means they've passed. So you'll do great, I know it! Good luck! And L&D is great, I just dont do well with not knowing when I'll get my next patient until they've walked through the door :)
You look so RN in your scrubs! I am so proud of you. I am sure you will do fine on your exam. Saying lots of prayers for you today.
Good job Mikelle!
