We're Alive!!!

It seems I took an unintentional blogging vacation.... But now I'm back! And it's been over a month since I've updated the blog. A lot has happened since then...

I had a surprisingly great 23rd birthday! Jeremy went out of his way to make my birthday special! The day before he took me to a candy store and let me loose!
And I made out like a bandit!

Unfortunately, I had to work on my birthday. But I did get a few good surprises! When I got to work that morning, my friends in the new grad program gave me a present and a mini cake! Later in the morning, Jeremy surprised me by having a gorgeous bouquet of flowers delivered to my work! I was SHOCKED! Later that afternoon, the nurse I was working with that day went down to the gift shop and bought me a present! How sweet is that?! On top of that, I got about a billion birthday wishes! Everything from text messages and birthday cards to Facebook messages! I felt so loved! Thanks to everyone who made my birthday wonderful!

When I got home from work, Jeremy and I celebrated with some delicious dulce de leche cheesecake! Yum!
At the end of February, I was released from my calling as Relief Society Instructor and got called to be the Laurel Advisor in the Young Women's!! I taught my first lesson a couple weeks ago and it went great! The girls are all really sweet and I'm having a great time so far.

Sometime during the month of February, our lovely (said with much sarcasm) VW Passat broke down. And rather than paying $6500 dollars to fix it, we were fortunate enough to assume ownership of the car Jeremy used in college (a '97 Honda Accord). We're hoping it doesn't break down anytime soon.

On March 5th, Jeremy and I celebrated our 4th anniversary! Unfortunately, I worked that day and didn't get home until 8:30. But Jeremy was sweet and surprised me with a beautiful bouquet of red roses and a very sweet note. However, strangely enough, I don't have a single picture of that day. How sad.

And last but not least, we've decided to move. Down the street. To another one bedroom apartment. Why? We're currently paying $1365/month in rent for our 800 square foot apartment. The apartment down the street is 900 square feet and we'll be paying $1195/month. I'm really not excited to move. It's no fun. Especially since we're just going to another one bedroom apartment. But I feel really bad for Jeremy because I have to work on Saturday so I won't be here to help with the move. But don't feel too sorry for him because I have to do the packing...

Here's a sneak peek at our new living room:

Are you thinking what I was thinking? What in the world do we need a fireplace for in California?!

I can tell you are tired of packing. You're leaving your mark all over the internet.

I am sure you and/or Jeremy tried to get City Lights to match the deal before you decided to move. I can totally relate to not being excited about packing. Actually I hate unpacking more!
