jeremy and i are in the process of decorating our living room. we've decided to go with an african theme since the room is sort of going in that direction anyway, but we need to add a few things. and that's where you come in!
here's what we already have...
now, what do we need?
we both agree a new picture on the wall would be good, since the new york thing just doesn't work anymore... but that's where we're stuck.
i think this picture from z gallerie would be cool:
but it's $350!
we did find an alternative from ikea:
and it's only $80. it's not as great, but it's a deal.
the problem? Jeremy doesn't love the zebra thing.
so we went searching for something else and we came upon this at a furniture store:
but it's $260. so I found a print online (which we'd have to get framed) for $70:
the problem? i don't love it.
so we're bringing it to the people! please help us with our living room art dilemma by casting your vote to the right.
and if you have any ideas for our african themed living room, we'd love to hear them!

geez i wish I could help you with your decorating. i am NOT good at it. but I do think you should just buy the pricier picture that you like...(the one with the tree) it would be so worth it!
Sorry Mikelle, if you remember I have nothing on my walls and it has been five months since I moved. Wall decorations are the TOUGHEST for me. Why don't you post your pictures on HGTV.com and get people/designer to help you? Remember my friend Maria? HGTV did her backyard for her and it can happen to you too!
It is looking really great. I actually like the print of the trees, the colors are more vibrant. I would also get some colorful pillows to go on the couch and also get a plant or tree to put somewhere. Have fun decorating!!!!
Well, if the zebra & the tree aren't working there are plenty of other themes you could go with... Tigers... do either of you like tigers? Giraffes? Elephants? Succulent plants? Or how about African masks instead of a picture?

decorating is always a challenge for two people to agree on - dad/roger thinks maybe you could find a zebra resting underneath a tree - he likes the tree better - but it really only matters what you both like - you live there
