labor and delivery

Yesterday was my first day of orientation in labor and delivery! First I trained in postpartum (mother-baby), then in May I started my orientation in the nursery and now I'm finally in labor and delivery! I had a really good first day. The nurses I worked with were really nice and it was pretty slow, so we had time to go over all that we did and for me to ask any questions. I still have a LOT to learn so I'm looking forward to the next few months!

So far, one of the biggest perks of my job has been taking care of the babies. My favorite thing to do is give them their first bath. They always look so cute afterwards! And every time I bathe a baby, I think about this picture...

(Emery's first bath!)

So fun!

How fun! Makes me want a brand new baby again - NOT!

That would be fun though to bathe those tiny precious babies all the time. Have fun!

L&D gives me the creeps! Things can go bad real fast over there... I love maternity, thus why I work there :) Giving babies their first bath is fun, isn't it?
