Yesterday in clinical I was talking to one of the nurses about working in Labor and Delivery (since that is where I want to be) and I got some bad news that I hope isn't true... She said that if I want to work as an L&D nurse right after I graduate, I'll have to start out by working nights. My reaction? Oh crap... That is the LAST thing I want to do. Can you imagine what it would be like to work from 7 pm to 7:30 am? Granted, I would be doing something I really enjoy, but how would that even work? If you know me, you know I can't keep my eyes open past midnight. But if this is the only chance I have of working L&D, would it be worth it?

I would do it because you wont have to do it the hole time that you work all the time that you are a nurse. I rather would want to do that then any thing else!!!!
Love Rachel
i say take what you can get! plus you probobly won't fall asleep while you're standing up. so just start to practice staying up all night now to get used to it. good luck!!!
I agree. Totally worth it to get your foot in the door. That is how you start out, and then you transfer to the day shift. Maybe working the night shift will allow you more time to blog :)
You've got to start at the bottom to make it to the top! Go for it, it looked like it would be a fun place to work.
You'll make the right decision. Weigh the pros and cons, pray about it, you'll know what to do when the time comes.
I forgot to tell you that I love your new layout. It looks really nice.
Thanks Tracie! I could never find a template that I liked and didn't want to have to redo all my page elements so I asked around and got the instructions on how to do it yourself. The task seemed a little daunting at first but ended up being fun!
as long as you only have to work 3 days a week...it would be worth it.
Don't do it. Leisure is more important than Labor. Try selling prescription drugs on the streets, those hours rock.
